SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marlene Mary Ancel, who passed away on
4October 31, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marlene Ancel was employed in the activity
6department at the Sunny Hill Nursing Home for 10 years; she
7also catered at St. Joseph Park for 23 years; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marlene Ancel was a member of the Altar and Rosary
9Society, Will County Seniors, and the Wednesday and Thursday
10Seniors at St. Joseph Park; she was also a longtime parishioner
11at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet and found peace
12attending mass on Sunday and adoration chapel during weekday
13afternoons; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Marlene Ancel enjoyed bowling, attending picnics
15at St. Joseph Park, and spending time with her family and
16friends; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Marlene Ancel was preceded in death by her beloved
18husband, John, and her parents, William and Rose (nee
19Jaskowiak) Smith; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Marlene Ancel is survived by her loving children,

1Karen (Patrick) Briscoe, Randy (Gabriella) Ancel, Nancy Ancel
2Mitok, and John (Jodi) Ancel; her cherished grandchildren,
3Michael (Michele) Briscoe, Jeff (Lizzy) Ancel, Christine
4(Neil) Hodge, Kelley (Chuck) Hill, Jamie Eskridge, John J.
5Ancel, Jacob Ancel, and Zachary Mitok; her cherished
6great-grandchildren, Joey, Caiden, Charlie, Brooke, Jack,
7Kailen, Chelsea, Abigail, and Crew; her dear brother, William
8(Bernadine) Smith; and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and
9dear friends; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Marlene Mary Ancel;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Marlene Ancel as an expression of
16our sympathy.
