SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael A. "Arnie" Juricic, Sr., who
4passed away on October 29, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. was born in Joliet and was a
6lifelong resident; his parents were Michael and Anna (nee
7Gurka) Juricic; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. was a graduate of Joliet
9Township High School's Class of 1949; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. served his country as a
11member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War;
12he was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal and earned
13a marksman medal during his tenure; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. retired from Commonwealth
15Edison in 1992 as a crew leader after 43 years of service; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. enjoyed hunting, snow
17skiing, boating, and restoring vintage cars; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. was preceded in death by his
19loving wife, Joan (nee Ramuta) Juricic; his daughter, Kimmy

1Juricic; his sisters, Dolores Lusin and Sylvia Cushing; and his
2brother, Eugene; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. is survived by his children,
4Kerry (Tim) Ruth, Kristy (Pete) Pluth, and Mike (Jyme) Juricic,
5Jr.; his grandchildren, T.J. Ruth, Claire Pluth, and Tres
6Juricic; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael A. "Arnie"
10Juricic, Sr.; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Michael Juricic, Sr. as an
13expression of our sympathy.
