SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Robert Bruce McGuire of Carrollton, who 
4passed away on October 19, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert McGuire was born on August 31, 1941 in 
6Calhoun; his parents were Frank and Freda Weaver McGuire; he 
7married Linda Richter on May 2, 1964 in Carrollton; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert McGuire was a member of Our Redeemer 
9Lutheran Church in Carrollton and frequently attended Hope 
10Lutheran Church in Jerseyville; he was a true patriot and loved 
11his country with all of his heart; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert McGuire was preceded in death by his 
13parents; his sister; and his 4 brothers; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert McGuire is survived by his wife, Linda; his 
15children, Kris McGuire and Robin Meyer (companion, Lamar 
16Stapleton); his grandchildren, Colt and Skyler Meyer; and his 
17many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
20family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert Bruce McGuire;

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to the family of Robert McGuire as an expression of
