SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Ada M. Lif of Lockport, who passed away 
4on November 1, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ada Lif was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church 
6and a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School and Lockport Township 
7High School's Class of 1939; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Ada Lif was a partner with her husband, Roland, at 
9the RC Lif Construction Company; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Ada Lif was preceded in death by her parents, 
11William and Helena (nee Ehrfeld) Dollinger; her husband, Roland 
12C. Lif, whom she married on December 6, 1941; and her siblings, 
13Nina (the late Russell) Anderson and Lillian (the late William) 
14Laue; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, Ada Lif is survived by her children, Donna Likar 
16and Ron (Robin) Lif; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Huls; her 
17grandchildren, Dianna (Thomas) Skoczek, Dale (Christina) 
18Likar, Dawn (Scott) Hoffman, Emily Lif, and Natalie Lif; her 
19great-grandchildren, Alexandra Skoczek, Thomas Skoczek, Hailey 
20Likar, and David Likar; her many nieces and nephews; and her 
21beloved companion, Mickey; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Ada M. Lif; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Ada Lif as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
