SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bernice M. "Tupie" Deckard of St.
4Francisville, who passed away on October 5, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bernice Deckard was born on January 21, 1947 in
6Lawrenceville; her parents were William J. "Bill" Allen and
7Bernice L. (nee Dunstedter) Allen; she married Robert E. "Bob"
8Deckard on January 12, 1980; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bernice Deckard was a very active member of the
10St. Francisville Christian Church and the St. Francisville
11Women's Club; she loved her family and was a proud and loving
12homemaker to them; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Bernice Deckard was preceded in death by her
14parents; her husband, Robert; and her sister, Bonnie Allen; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bernice Deckard is survived by her daughter, Tammy
16(Rodney) Allen Cox; her sons, Jack (Sandy) Maxvill, Robert
17"Bobby" Deckard, Jr., and David Deckard; her sisters, Barbara
18Hixon, Beverly (Bill) Perrin, Betsy (Larry) Hoback, and Brenda
19Kaul; her brother, William "Billy" Allen, II; her
20grandchildren, Crystal Cox, Amy Hartmann, Rodney Cox, Jr.,
21Andrew "Andy" (Madden) Deckard, Madyson Deckard, Christopher

1Deckard, and Jenny Maxvill; her 2 great-grandchildren; her many
2nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Molly B; therefore, be
3it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Bernice M. "Tupie"
7Deckard; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Bernice Deckard as an expression of
10our sympathy.
