SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas D. "Tom" Ward of McHenry, who 
4passed away on September 14, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Tom Ward was born in Chicago on April 15, 1948 to 
6Thomas L. and Helen (nee Yohanan) Ward; he graduated from Crown 
7High School in Carpentersville in 1966 and served in the United 
8States Air Force, serving 2 tours in  the Vietnam War; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Tom Ward retired from United Airlines; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Tom Ward enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and 
11spending time with his family and friends; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Tom Ward was preceded in death by his wife of 40 
13years, Sandra "Sandy" Ward; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Tom Ward is survived by his children, Chris 
15(Keith) Swedberg, Scott Ward, and Tanya (George) Ward; his 5 
16grandchildren; and his  brother, Richard Ward; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
19Thomas D. "Tom" Ward, and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
2further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to  the family of  Tom Ward as an expression of our 
5deepest sympathy.
