SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert L. Turner of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on November 1, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Turner was born on February 21, 1922 in
6Atlantic, Iowa to Ora and Maude Turner; he served in the United
7States Navy from 1942 to 1946 as an Aviation Machinist; he
8married Patricia Choate on July 10, 1946 in Melrose Park, and
9in 1950, they moved to Crystal Lake, into the home Robert
10built; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Turner worked for BurDent Manufacturing
12and its subsequent divisions until his retirement after 37
13years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Turner was preceded in death by his wife of
1554 years, Patricia; his parents; his sisters, Lela Zellmer and
16Helen Soukup; and his brother, Floyd Turner; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Turner is survived by his children, Susan
18(Allen) Chodl and Nancy Melvin, and his brother, Max (Joann)
19Turner; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Robert L. Turner, and extend our sincere condolences to his
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Robert Turner as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
