| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of John "Jack" May, who passed away on |
| 4 | | November 16, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John May was born on November 13, 1933 in |
| 6 | | Waukegan; his parents were Edward May and Jane Ross May; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, After high school, John May joined the United |
| 8 | | States Navy in 1956, and served as a medic; in 1957, he was |
| 9 | | transferred and stationed at the United States Naval Hospital |
| 10 | | in Chelsea, Massachusetts; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, John May worked for most of his life at Manville; |
| 12 | | after retiring, he worked part time in the office at Warren |
| 13 | | High School, where he also worked with the basketball program |
| 14 | | as the team statistician; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, John May enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, attending |
| 16 | | spring training games in Florida, going out to eat with his |
| 17 | | daughter and granddaughter, working out, and spending time with |
| 18 | | his family; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, John May is survived by his daughter, Denise; his |
| 20 | | son-in-law, Nate; his granddaughter, Devyn; his |
