SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Pauline Wilma Secrest Hamilton, who
4passed away on November 11, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Pauline Hamilton was born on April 25, 1911 in
6Pekin; her parents were Daniel and Helen (nee Soectig) Secrest;
7she was raised in Joliet; she later lived in South Bend,
8Indiana and lived in Conifer, Colorado from 1970 to 1976; in
91976, she moved back to Joliet to be closer to her family; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Pauline Hamilton was employed at Joliet Federal
11Savings and Loan for many years before retiring in Conifer,
12Colorado; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Pauline Hamilton was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and
14was especially proud of the volunteer time she spent with the
15Joliet Police Department; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Pauline Hamilton is preceded in death by her
17siblings, Warren, Willard (Rose) Secrest, Louise (Ira) Archey,
18Konred (Marie) Secrest, Magdalen (William) Stewart, Junette
19(John) Smeets, and Helen (Glen) Hart; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Pauline Hamilton is survived by her daughter,

1Elaine Hamilton Stonich; her grandchildren, Paige Stonich
2Vanderhyden and Michael Stonich; her great-grandchildren,
3Abbie, Jay, and Mark Vanderhyden; and her many nieces and
4nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Pauline Wilma Secrest
8Hamilton; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Pauline Hamilton as an expression of
11our sympathy.
