SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Carla Ann Schwegel of Godfrey, who passed 
4away on November 28, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carla Schwegel was born on September 3, 1954; her 
6parents were James and Barbara (nee Broadway) Witt; she married 
7Edward Schwegel on September 9, 1972; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Carla Schwegel was a devoted mother to her 
9children and enjoyed a short career in early childhood 
10education; she later turned that devotion and energy to her 
11grandchildren; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Carla Schwegel was preceded in death by her 
13mother; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Carla Schwegel is survived by her husband, Edward; 
15her father; her sister, Linda (Otis) Nichols; her brothers, 
16Alan Witt and Todd Witt; her children, Erin (Seth) Phillips and 
17Eric Schwegel; her grandchildren, Ian, Hannah, and Elyse 
18Phillips and Quinten Hess; and her many other extended family 
19member and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Carla Ann Schwegel; 
3and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Carla Schwegel as an expression of 
6our sympathy.
