SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Bernard Wanagas of McHenry, who passed 
4away on November 10, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bernard Wanagas was born in Chicago on August 20, 
61921 to Kazimer and Petronel (Jenulewicz) Wanagas; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Bernard Wanagas was a freelance artist; he was  
8involved with the McHenry and Lake County Art Groups and the 
9Lake Geneva Art Association; he also taught watercolor classes; 
10and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Bernard Wanagas was preceded in death by his 
12parents; his wife, Lena; and his son, John David Wanagas; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Bernard Wanagas is survived by his children, 
14Caryle (Jeff) McCaffrey, Ken (Doris) Wanagas, and Mary (Rich) 
15Nahrstadt; his 10 grandchildren; his  3 great-grandchildren; 
16and his daughter-in-law, Jenny Nordstrom; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
19Bernard Wanagas, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
