SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert C. Stock of Marengo, who passed 
4away on November 1, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Stock was born in Belvidere on October 19, 
61928 to Raymond A. and Myrtle (nee Hance) Stock; he married 
7Arlette L. Johnson on July 2, 1949 in Genoa; he served in the 
8United States Army during World War II and the Korean War; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Stock retired from the Illinois Tollway 
10after 30 years of service; he was a  former volunteer fireman 
11with the Marengo Fire Department for 11 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Stock was a member of Zion Lutheran Church; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Stock was preceded in death by his wife of 
1565 years, Arlette; his son, Kurt Stock; his brother, William; 
16and his daughter-in-law, Diana Stock; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Stock is survived by his 2 sons, Michael 
18(Judy) Stock and Stuart Stock; his 4 grandchildren, Kristin 
19(Jeremy) Becker, Jennifer (Jason) Batty, Robert (Michele) 
20Stock, and Joseph Stock; his 4 great-grandchildren, Mikayla and

1Natalie Becker and Alexa and Chase Stock; his 2 sisters-in-law, 
2Darlene (Harry) Bolz and Anita Johnson; his 2 nephews; and his 
32 nieces; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Robert C. Stock, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Robert Stock as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
