SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mary Estalene "Essie" Heitzig of Fieldon,
4who passed away on November 28, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Heitzig was born in Jersey County on August
63, 1924 to Harry and Edna Mae (nee Devening) Lyles; she married
7Herbert Joseph Heitzig on November 8, 1944 at St. Mary's
8Catholic Church in Fieldon; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mary Heitzig worked at the International Shoe
10Factory in Jerseyville; after her marriage, she concentrated on
11raising her family and running the family trucking business
12from home; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mary Heitzig enjoyed spending time with her family
14and going to the gambling boat; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Mary Heitzig was preceded in death by her parents;
16her husband of 54 years, Herbert; her son, Michael Edward
17Heitzig; her 2 brothers, L.C. Lyles and Herbert Lyles; and her
185 sisters, Myrtle Alice Lyles, Violet Lyles, Ruby Williams,
19Geraldine Hazel "Pete" Jones, and Marcella "Mickey" Wallace;

1    WHEREAS, Mary Heitzig is survived by her 6 children and
2their spouses, Sandra and Don Mayberry, Donna and Bill West,
3Greg and Linda Heitzig, Karen "Worm" Heitzig, Lisa and Bill
4Darr, and Marla and Randy Russell; her 11 grandchildren and
5their spouses, Jill and Randy Fraley, Jennifer and John Myers,
6Leah and Richie Ruyle, Lindsey and John Lane, Luke and Jenny
7Heitzig, AJ and Nikki Heitzig, Dia and Dale East, Casey and
8Rick Anderson, Aaron Darr, Adam and LeAnn Russell, and Jarrod
9and Tina Russell; her 20 great-grandchildren; her 3 brothers,
10Harry "Dick" Lyles, James Lyles, and Robert Lyles; and her 5
11sisters, Lillie Wilson, Cora Hadlock, Nora Jones, Edith Dugger,
12and Janice O'Brian; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Mary Estalene "Essie" Heitzig, and extend our sincere
16condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
17her; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Mary Heitzig as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
