SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Amy Beth Thomas of Savoy, who passed away 
4on November 21, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Amy Thomas was born on September 15, 1975 in 
6Champaign; her parents were Richard and Marie (nee Skoirchet) 
7Govert; she married Jason Thomas on April 19, 2008 in Urbana; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Amy Thomas graduated from Urbana High School and 
10Illinois State University, where she earned her master's degree 
11in special education; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Amy Thomas was employed as a teacher in the Urbana 
13School District for the last 18 years; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Amy Thomas loved reading and spending time with 
15her daughter; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Amy Thomas is survived by her husband, Jason; her 
17daughter, Madison Thomas; her parents; and her brother, Michael 
18Govert; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Amy Beth Thomas; and 
3be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Amy Thomas as an expression of our 
6sympathy.
