SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph F. Wenzel of Waukegan, who passed
4away on November 29, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Wenzel was born in Warsaw on December 19,
61926 to Henry and Mary (nee Glass) Wenzel; he joined the United
7States Marines during World War II and was stationed at Great
8Lakes Naval Station; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Joseph Wenzel was a member of St. Anastasia
10Catholic Church; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Joseph Wenzel was preceded in death by his wife,
12Elaine; his parents, Henry and Mary Wenzel; his sister, Rita B.
13Wenzel; his parents-in-law, Menelaos and Eveline Papageorge;
14his brothers-in-law, Joseph Haas, Levi Smith, and George
15Papageorge; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Wenzel and Carol
16Papageorge; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Joseph Wenzel is survived by his children,
18Christopher Wenzel, Mary (Craig) Bloemker, Kevin (Maureen)
19Wenzel, Karen Saveraid, Joseph Wenzel, Jean Wenzel, Loretta
20(Howard) Jones, Susan Wenzel, and Lisa (Tom) Hackl; his 15
21grandchildren, Kristina, Katie (Douglas), Justin, Joshua, Kyle

1(Jenn), Kelly, Matthew (Kendra), Jacob, Angela (Eric), Brandy,
2Alexander, Ryan, Sarah, Joe, and Rachel; his great-grandchild,
3Elianna; his brother, Henry Wenzel; his sisters, Ann Gibson,
4Kathryn Haas, and Bernice Smith; his brother-in-law, Michael
5(Anna) Papageorge; and all of his treasured nieces and nephews;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Joseph F. Wenzel, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Joseph Wenzel as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
