SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  David A. Gudziunas of North Chicago, who 
4passed away on November 30, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, David Gudziunas was born on May 6, 1953 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Adolph "Edward" and Anna Gudziunas; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, David Gudziunas worked for Tower Products for 2 
9years; he retired as a patrolman with the North Chicago Police 
10Department after 28 years of service; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, David Gudziunas was a member of the Blue Knights 
12Motorcycle Club and a lifetime member of the Illinois Police 
13Association; he was also an Eagle Scout; and
 
14    WHEREAS, David Gudziunas enjoyed muskie fishing in the 
15Northwoods and watching the Green Bay Packers; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, David Gudziunas was preceded in death by his 
17parents; his brothers, Dennis and Anthony; and his uncle, 
18Stanley Jasper; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, David Gudziunas is survived by his wife of 43

1years, Elizabeth; his daughter, Sarah (Joshua) Grubbs; his 
2grandchildren, Charles, Cheyenne, and Jackson; his brother, 
3Daniel (Kathleen) Gudziunas; his niece; and his many nephews; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of David A. Gudziunas; 
8and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of David Gudziunas as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
