SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jerry Ray Robson of Harvard, who passed
4away on December 19, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Robson was born in Harrisburg on May 12,
61942 to Hazel and Joseph Robson; he graduated from Harvard High
7School in 1960 and attended Chicago Machine Accounting College;
8he served in the Illinois National Guard, where he became a
9Communications Sergeant; he married Kathleen Kaney on July 25,
101970 at the First United Methodist Church in Harvard; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jerry Robson enjoyed working in the electronics
12industry; he was employed at A.A. Anderson in Harvard and Sears
13in Rockford, and for a time, he owned Robson Radio and
14Electric; he later worked for Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jerry Robson enjoyed installing sound equipment
17for his friends and spending time with his family, telling
18jokes and stories from his life; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jerry Robson was preceded in death by his parents;

1    WHEREAS, Jerry Robson is survived by his wife, Kathleen;
2his children, Stephanie (Adam) Kasten and Amy (Matthew) Stech;
3his grandchildren, A.J. and Morgan Kasten and Caitlyn and Leah
4Stech; his siblings, Phyllis (Charles) Koltz and Jan (Peggy)
5Robson; several nieces and nephews; and his grandnieces and
6nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Jerry Ray Robson, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Jerry Robson as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
