SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George Francis Raymond, Jr. of Wauconda,
4who passed away on December 21, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Raymond, Jr. was born in Chicago on
6September 16, 1930 to Charlotte (nee Williams) and George F.
7Raymond; he graduated from Wauconda High School in 1949 and
8served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War; he
9married Mary "Marietta" on August 17, 1956; and
 
10    WHEREAS, George Raymond, Jr. worked for Commonwealth
11Edison as a lineman, trouble man, and crew leader; he retired
12in January of 1986 after 35 years of service; he was a member
13of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; and
 
14    WHEREAS, George Raymond, Jr. was a member of Wauconda
15American Legion Post #911; he traveled with his wife to and
16through, just about every state; they spent their winters in
17Orange Beach, Alabama; he enjoyed fishing, especially the guy's
18trips to Minnesota; he taught his family how to play pinochle
19and chess and how to be loyal to the Chicago Cubs; and
 
20    WHEREAS, George Raymond, Jr. was preceded in death by his
21parents; and

1    WHEREAS, George Raymond, Jr. was the beloved husband of
2Mary; the loving father of Linda (Keith) Francke, Curt
3(Deborah), and Robert; the cherished grandfather of Anna
4Francke, Kristine (Eric) Marks, and Nicholas, Stefani, Gary,
5Samantha, and Alyssa Raymond; the dear step-grandfather of Jake
6(Julie), Beckie, and Sarah Mann; the cherished
7great-grandfather of Natalie, Ryan, Elijah, and Jett; and the
8caring brother of Patricia Raymond and the late William;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12George Francis Raymond, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences
13to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
14it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of George Raymond, Jr. as an expression
17of our deepest sympathy.
