SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stanley R. Hoff, who passed away on
4December 23, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stanley Hoff was born on February 19, 1923 in New
6York City; his parents were John and Leah (nee Wolff) Hoff; he
7married Sara Shub on July 21, 1943 in Springfield; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Stanley Hoff enlisted in the United States Air
9Force and served in World War II; years later, he was recalled
10for both the Korean Conflict and the Berlin Blockade; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Stanley Hoff was an executive and an engineer in
12the technology field until his retirement in the late 1980s;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Stanley Hoff enjoyed skiing, tennis, windsurfing,
15and volunteering and community service; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Stanley Hoff was preceded in death by his
17grandson, Jayson (Jamie) Mogilner; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Stanley Hoff is survived by his wife, Sara; his
19daughter, Lynda (Alan) Mogilner; his son, Ronald Hoff; his

1grandchildren, Geoffrey (Ellie) Mogilner and Rachael (Michael)
2Scherer; his great-grandchildren, Robert, Max, Matthew, Aaron,
3Abigail, Benjamin, and Nathan; and his brother, Charles
4(Sheila) Hoff; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Stanley R. Hoff; and
8be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Stanley Hoff as an expression of our
11sympathy.
