SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Wendell G. Thiele of Huntley, who passed
4away on December 8, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele was born on August 27, 1924 in
6Berrien Springs, Michigan; his parents were Arthur and Nellie
7(nee Sweeney) Thiele; he married Carmilla E. Adams on July 31,
81982 in Huntley; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele was a member of the United States
10Army Air Corps during World War II; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele was a member of Carpenters and
12Joiners of America Local 54; a master carpenter, he retired as
13Senior Vice President of Gerhardt F. Meyne Company in Chicago
14after 40 years of service; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele was preceded in death by his
16parents; his brothers, Arthur and Carlyle; his sister, Jackie
17Williamson; his granddaughter; and his great-grandson; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele is survived by his wife, Carmilla;
19his daughters, Jill (Ned) Wetmore, Joan (William) Baumann, and
20Christine (Peter) Hoeffner; his stepson, David Rose; his

1stepdaughter, Sharon Rose; his grandchildren, Ellen (Jeff)
2Warmouth, Dana (Charles) Wilson, Aaron (Wendy) Baumann, and
3JoHanna (Christopher) Robert; his great-grandchildren,
4Alexander and Benjamin Warmouth and Calvin and Natia Wilson;
5and his many very special nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Wendell G. Thiele; and
9be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Wendell Thiele as an expression of
12our sympathy.
