SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Dorothy Liedberg, who passed away on 
4December 24, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dorothy Liedberg was born on January 5, 1927 in 
6North Chicago; she married Emil Liedberg in 1946; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Dorothy Liedberg graduated from Holy Child High 
8School in 1945; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dorothy Liedberg was a baker for North Chicago 
10High School for 18 years until her retirement in 1988; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Dorothy Liedberg was a patient bingo and sewing 
12volunteer at Vista East Hospital in Waukegan and volunteered 
13for the VA Swing Club; she was also a member of St. Bart's Club 
14and the Steel Workers Club; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Dorothy Liedberg was preceded in death by her 
16husband, Emil; her daughter, Jane Johnson; her parents, Sophie 
17and Sebastian Schmidt; and her brother, Adam Schmidt; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Dorothy Liedberg is survived by her daughter, 
19Nancy (Richard) Grabowski; her grandchildren, Bryan (Sheila)

1Grabowski, Kristy Grabowski, and Matthew (Solveig) Johnson; 
2her great-grandchildren, Sarah and Joseph Grabowski and Evan, 
3Eine, Emirk, and Elias Johnson; and her sister-in-law, Virginia 
4Schmidt; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Dorothy Liedberg; and 
8be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Dorothy Liedberg as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
