SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Wayne M. "Chic" Tegtman of Hampshire, who
4passed away on January 4, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wayne Tegtman was born in Charles City, Iowa on
6April 18, 1926 to George and Minnie (nee Yocum) Tegtman; he
7left school early to help on the family farm until he was
8drafted into the United States Navy during World War II and was
9stationed in Guam; after returning, he married Rosemary Cramsey
10in Feburary of 1949 and they settled in Hampshire; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Wayne Tegtman worked at the Country Delight milk
12factory in Hampshire, retiring in 1988; he also worked for many
13years at Gustafson's gas station in Hampshire; after his
14retirement, he worked for John Freund at the Marengo Funeral
15Home, driving the families during processionals; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Wayne Tegtman was a member of St. Charles Borromeo
17Catholic Church; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Wayne Tegtman was preceded in death by his
19parents; his wife of 62 years, Rosemary; his granddaughter, Amy
20Ferguson; his 3 brothers; his 7 sisters; and many in-laws; and

1    WHEREAS, Wayne Tegtman is survived by his children, Donna
2Rabe, Deborah (Paul) Crawford, Doug (Janna), Daniel "Boone",
3Denise (Tim) Hoopes, Diane (Tom) Schiffer, and Dale (Claire);
4his grandchildren, Brett (Jodi) Ferguson, Cara Ferguson,
5Justin Dvorin, Jason Crawford, Sam (Danielle) Tegtman, Peter
6and Marthe Tegtman, Nate Tegtman, Erin Hoopes, Andy, Katie, and
7Sarah Schiffer, and Luke, Ellie, and Nick Tegtman; his 6
8great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Ada Tegtman; his
9brother-in-law, Dave Walker; and many nieces and nephews;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Wayne M. "Chic" Tegtman, and extend our sincere condolences to
14his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Wayne Tegtman as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
