SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Frances Jerina of Wadsworth, who passed 
4away on December 29, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frances Jerina was born in Waukegan on January 30, 
61923 to Frank and Mary Jappel; she graduated from Mother of God 
7School and Waukegan High School; she married Fred "Fritz" 
8Jerina on November 9, 1946 at Mother of God Church; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Frances Jerina was a member of St. Mary's KSKJ 
10Lodge #79; she was a devoted mother to her 5 children and 
11homemaker; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Frances Jerina was preceded in death by her 
13husband, Fred;  her parents; her brothers, Frank Jappel, Jr. and 
14Rudolph "Rudy" Jappel; and her sisters, Mary Cerpich, Victoria 
15Merlock, and Rose Shaulis; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Frances Jerina is survived by her 5 children; Mary 
17Ann (William) Sherrill, Fred R. Jerina, Michael (Debra) Jerina, 
18Matthew (Kim) Jerina, and Anthony (Lori) Jerina; her 9 
19grandchildren, Katie, Brian, Kammie, Matthew, Jr., Philip, 
20Steven, Daniel, Rebecca, and Chris; and her 4 
21great-grandchildren, Grace, Ella, Sloan, and John Paul;

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Frances Jerina, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Frances Jerina as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
