SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dennis L. Doll, who passed away on
4October 13, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dennis Doll was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July
621, 1941 to Lawrence and Mary Doll; he graduated from Leo High
7School in 1959 and Loyola University with a bachelor's degree
8in 1963 and a Master of Business Administration in 1971; he
9married Barbara Rivan on June 26, 1965; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Dennis Doll worked in healthcare for 30 years; he
11was the Director of the laboratory at Elmhurst Memorial
12Hospital and, before that, Director of the laboratories at
13Columbus, Cuneo, and Cabrini Hospitals; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dennis Doll enjoyed golf, bridge, discussion
15club, gourmet club, and bicycling; he loved to travel,
16including taking regular vacations to Wisconsin and Minnesota
17with his family and trips to Hawaii and Alaska with his wife;
18he was a life-long Chicago White Sox fan and a member of St.
19Thomas the Apostle Church; he enjoyed spending time with his
20family and playing cards and board games with his children and
21grandchildren; and

1    WHEREAS, Dennis Doll was the beloved husband of 50 years of
2Barbara; the father of Larry (Kerri) Doll, Danielle (Kurt)
3Zwolfer, Matt (Diane) Doll, and Mimi (Aaron) Modica; the
4cherished grandfather of Tim, Adam, Chris, Michael, Steve,
5Jeffery, Olivia, and Emmy Doll, Trixie and Vivien Zwolfer, and
6Gianna, Rivan, and Caleb Modica; and uncle to a host of nieces
7and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Dennis L. Doll, and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Dennis Doll as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
