SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Joe Middona of Elburn, who passed away on 
4October 23, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Joe Middona married Miranda in 2008; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Joe Middona worked as a plumber and was a member 
7of Plumber's Union Local 130; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Joe Middona was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears 
9and the Chicago Cubs; when he and Miranda were married, they 
10had a brick placed in the sidewalk outside of Wrigley Field in 
11celebration of their wedding, and Joe's bachelor party was held 
12on a rooftop across from the ballpark; Joe and his best friend, 
13Erik Stransky, attended the Cubs' opening day each season for 
14the past 10 years; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Joe Middona enjoyed bowling and recently bowled a 
16300 game; he also enjoyed spending time with his family and 
17taking his children to Kane County Cougars' games and Chicago 
18Cubs' games; he coached his boys' baseball team in Wasco; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Joe Middona is survived by his wife, Miranda, and 
20their 3 children, Gianni, Gabriele, and Vincenzo; therefore, be

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Joe Middona, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
5friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Joe Middona as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
