SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Shee-Yee "Tony" Lee of Geneva, who passed
4away on January 7, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Shee-Yee Lee was born in China to Ying and Sun
6Yoke (Lam) Lee on January 22, 1937; he came to the United
7States with his parents at the age of 20; he married Jenny Ng
8and they began their lives together in Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Shee-Yee Lee and his wife moved to Geneva in 1969,
10where they opened the Gen Hoe Restaurant, a local favorite; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Shee-Yee Lee loved to cook and travel,
12particularly to San Francisco, California and Hong Kong; he had
13a great appreciation for different genres of music and loved to
14tinker with his stereo equipment; he was also skilled with a
15camera, a talented photographer, and a self-proclaimed "tech
16geek"; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Shee-Yee Lee was preceded in death by his parents;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Shee-Yee Lee is survived by his loving wife of 48
20years, Jenny; his children, Peter (Helen) and Philana; his

1in-laws, Michael (Dolly) Ng, Angela (Michael) Driessen,
2Raphael (Cathy) Ng, and Eddie (Kim) Ng; and many dear nieces,
3nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Shee-Yee "Tony" Lee, and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Shee-Yee Lee as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
