SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anne D. Bartlett of North Chicago, who passed away on January 15, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Anne Bartlett was born in Waukegan to Victor and Josephine Wachowiak on April 20, 1925; she attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1943; she married Lloyd Bartlett at Holy Rosary Church in North Chicago on October 4, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Anne Bartlett was a devoted mother and wife, who loved to bake her homemade jelly star cookies and her special sauerkraut for holidays, family, and church luncheons at Queen of Peace Church; and

WHEREAS, Anne Bartlett was a past member of the St. Elizabeth Club and the Holy Rosary Mother's Club; and

WHEREAS, Anne Bartlett was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; her parents; her 3 brothers and 2 sisters; her son-in-law, Peter Palyok; and her infant great-grandchild, Michael Anthony; and

WHEREAS, Anne Bartlett is survived by her 6 children, Jo Anne Palyok, David L. Bartlett, Carol B. Mitchell, Richard L. Bartlett, Mary (Thomas) Kraynik, and Barbara (Jason) Branning; her 9 grandchildren, Kimberly (John) Bettasso, Dwight (Tarra) Palyok, Jennifer Bartlett, Sara (Nathan) Knoepfle, Kristen (Troy) Wells, Joshua Kraynik, Aimee (Collin) Ruthe, Bradley Branning, and Mathew Branning; her 6 great-grandchildren, Isobel, Lauren, Madison, Mya, Judah, Willow, and one on the way; her brother-in-law, Frank (Mariann) Bartlett; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Anne D. Bartlett, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Anne Bartlett as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
