SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Stephen Hicks of Silvis, who passed away 
4on January 2, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Stephen Hicks was born on March 4, 1952; his 
6parents were Harry and Barbara Hicks; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Stephen Hicks served his country as a member of 
8the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Stephen Hicks was a freelance artist by trade; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Stephen Hicks was preceded in death by his parents 
11and his sister, Peggy Dooley; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Stephen Hicks is survived by his children, Sean 
13(Stormy) Hicks, Morrigan (Michael) Buckrop, Shiloh (Liz) 
14Hicks, and Stephanie Hicks; his 11 grandchildren; his 4 
15great-grandchildren; his sister, Patty Hicks Lamb; and his 
16companion of 22 years, Penny Douglas; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
19family and friends, mourn the passing of Stephen Hicks; and be
