SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Hector "Tony" DeKezel of Moline, who
4passed away on January 25, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel was born on September 5, 1917 in
6Moline; his parents were Theophil and Marie DuPont DeKezel; he
7married Marie Callant on May 3, 1941 in Moline; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel served in the United States Army
9during World War II; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel retired from John Deere Harvester
11Works in East Moline after 37 years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel was a member of Sacred Heart
13Church, the Moline Community Center, CASI, Quad City Plus 60,
14and John Deere Union Local 865; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel enjoyed traveling, dancing, and
16playing cards; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel was preceded in death by his wife,
18Marie, and his son, James; and

1    WHEREAS, Hector DeKezel is survived by his grandchildren,
2Brian, James, Jr. (Allison), and Jessica (Chad) Finch; his
3daughter-in-law, Kathy; and his 8 great-grandchildren;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Hector "Tony" DeKezel;
8and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Hector DeKezel as an expression of
11our sympathy.
