SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Rachel Dean Ronen of Litchfield, who 
4passed away on January 30, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen was born on January 4, 1923 in 
6Decatur; her parents were Harry and Helen (nee Joynt) Hill; she 
7married Daniel Vernon Ronen on May 10, 1942 in Old Monroe, 
8Missouri; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen was a homemaker; she also worked at 
10Mohr Value in Litchfield for several years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen was a member of Holy Family Catholic 
12Church in Litchfield, where she participated in St. Anne's 
13Society; she also served as a South Litchfield Township Trustee 
14and as an election judge for several years; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen was preceded in death by her parents; 
16her husband, Daniel; and her sister, Crystal Hill Lawler; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Rachel Ronen is survived by her sons, Daniel H. 
18(Vickie) Ronen and Dennis S. (Andrea) Ronen; her grandchildren, 
19Jennifer (Sean) Walker, Jill (Gary) Huddlestun, David (Shonda) 
20Ronen, and Sarah Ronen (fiance, Bill Mabrey); and her

1great-grandchildren, Rayna and Kyrsten Spencer, Daxton and 
2Deklan Ronen, and Lilly Mabrey; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Rachel Dean Ronen; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Rachel Ronen as an expression of our 
9sympathy.
