SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Pastor Robert J.D. Wilson, Sr. of Rock 
4Island, who passed away on February 3, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Pastor Robert Wilson, Sr. was born on November 1, 
61946 in Denison, Texas; his parents were Charles and Rosie (nee 
7Mitchell) Wilson, Sr.; he married Cheryl Ann Walker on March 
827, 1993 in Moline; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Pastor Robert Wilson, Sr. served his country in 
10the United States Army, retiring at the rank of sergeant; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Pastor Robert Wilson, Sr. served and helped his 
12community as a pastor of the Risen Christ Ministries; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Pastor Robert Wilson, Sr. enjoyed the outdoors, 
14fishing, gardening, working on antique cars, coaching Little 
15League baseball, and enjoying fried chicken with his family; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Pastor Robert Wilson, Sr. was preceded in death by 
18his parents and his sisters, Charleen Wilson-Stevenson and 
19Theresa Wilson-Melvin; and

1    WHEREAS, Pastor Robert Wilson, Sr. is survived by his wife, 
2Cheryl Ann Wilson; his children, Robert J.D. Wilson, Jr., Robin 
3Wilson-Clipson (Casey Clipson), and Chernetta Whiteside-Byl 
4(James Byl); his grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Arielle Byl, Corie 
5Wilson, Javin and Javon Whiteside, Jr., Carlie and Caleb 
6Clipson, and Jennessa and Jaxon Byl; his brothers, Woody Herman 
7(Linda) Wilson and Charles Herman Wilson, Jr.; his sister, 
8Rosie Elaine (James) Luper; and his many nieces, nephews, 
9cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Pastor Robert J.D. 
13Wilson, Sr.; and be it further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15presented to the family of Pastor Robert Wilson, Sr. as an 
16expression of our sympathy.
