SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Leona Ferry of Lockport, who passed away 
4on February 7, 2016 at the age of 93; and
  
 
  
5    WHEREAS, Leona Ferry was a member of St. Joseph Church in 
6Lockport, Lockport Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5788 Ladies 
7Auxiliary, and the American Slovenian Catholic Union or 
8K.S.K.J.; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Leona Ferry was preceded in death by her loving 
10husband, Edward L. Ferry; her daughter, Carol Lee Ferry; her 
11parents, Marko and Anna Cernetich; her sister, Ann Casanova; 
12her brother, Leonard Cernetich; her daughter-in-law, Kathleen 
13C. Ferry; and her maternal and paternal grandparents; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Leona Ferry is survived by her 2 devoted sons, 
15John E. and Mark A. (Pat) Ferry; her 3 grandchildren, Mark G. 
16(Angi) and Edward (Lauren) Ferry, and Matt (Miki) Hornbuckle; 
17her 6 great-grandchildren, Paige, Allison, Lauren, Matthew, 
18Natalie, and Alyssa; her 4 sisters-in-law, Florence Ferry, 
19Jeanne Ferry, Carol Ferry, and Regina Wanda; and numerous 
20nephews and nieces; therefore, be it
  
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Leona Ferry, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
3friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to  the family of  Leona Ferry as an expression of our 
6deepest sympathy.
