SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Lawrence L. "Larry" Minor of Moline, who 
4passed away on February 15, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor was born in Clinton, Iowa to Warren 
6and Mary "Madge" (nee Pinter) Minor; he served in the United 
7States Army; he married Ruth "Cookie" Langdon in Rock Island on 
8December 28, 1962; he later married Linda Serres in East Moline 
9on June 26, 1977; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor owned Bucky's in  Moline and managed 
11the Old Oaks Steak House in Milan; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor enjoyed golfing and family poker 
13games; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor was preceded in death by his first 
15wife, Ruth; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Lawrence Minor is survived by his children, 
17Shawnae (Shawn) Van Alsburg, Stephanie (Brian) Haezebroeck, 
18Jason (Christie) Minor, Lindsey (Don) Moore, Zach (Angie) 
19Minor, Buddy (Erin) Minor, Brittany (Kevin) Olson, Tanner 
20(Leah) Minor, and Trevor Minor; his 19 grandchildren; his 1

1great-grandson; and his brothers, Wayne (Lil) Minor and Doug 
2(Lisa) Minor; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Lawrence L. "Larry" Minor, and extend our sincere condolences 
6to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  Lawrence Minor as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
