SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eric Philip Krall, who passed away on February 6, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Eric Krall was born on October 18, 1983 in Oak Lawn and grew up in Shorewood; his parents were Philip and Mary (nee Gimpel) Krall; and

WHEREAS, Eric Krall graduated from St. Jude's Catholic Grade School in 1998 and Providence Catholic High School in 2002; he subsequently earned a bachelor's degree in history and political science from the University of St. Francis; and

WHEREAS, Eric Krall was a poster child for Easter Seals at age 3 and regularly served as a host for the entertainment portion of the Easter Seals Telethon as a young man; he played basketball in grade school and became tech savvy at a very young age; he developed an insatiable interest in history and politics, the Civil War in particular; he was also a member of the Law Club in high school and the Young Republicans in college; and

WHEREAS, Eric Krall began working at Best Buy in high school and continued at the Joliet store until his recent promotion and transfer to manage the Pacific Sales division of Best Buy in Knoxville, Tennessee; he is remembered by his team as a positive leader with tremendous knowledge of products and sales expertise; and

WHEREAS, Eric Krall was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward Krall and Gloria Krall Llewellyn; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Gimpel; his uncle, Gary Krall; and his cousin, Devin Alexander; and

WHEREAS, Eric Krall is survived by his parents and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Eric Philip Krall; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eric Krall as an expression of our sympathy.
