SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Robert Stanley Chovanec of Wonder Lake, 
4who passed away on January 23, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Chovanec was born on April 9, 1938 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Paul and Clara (nee Kordowski) 
7Chovanec; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Chovanec served in the United States Air 
9Force from 1961 to 1965; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Chovanec was a past Post Commander of 
11American Legion Post 491 and former member of Riffle Squad; he 
12enjoyed and looked forward to gatherings with many of his close 
13friends known as the "Table of Knowledge" at the Busy Bee 
14Restaurant; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Robert Chovanec was preceded in death by his 
16parents; his brothers, Paul, II (Maryann) and Ervin (Patricia); 
17and his sister, Virginia; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Robert Chovanec is survived by his nieces and 
19nephews, Paul, III, Cindy, Alan, Russell, Ervin, Kathleen, 
20Christine, Sharon, Joseph, Janet, Sandra, and Virginia; his

1many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-grand-nieces, and 
2great-grand-nephews; and his very good friend, Jim (Mary) 
3Cashin; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert Stanley 
7Chovanec; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Robert Chovanec as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
