SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Joseph W. Stetkus, Jr. of Harvard, who 
4passed away on February 13, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. was born on August 3, 1931 in 
6Schiller Park; his parents were Joseph W. and Mary (nee Skobel) 
7Stetkus, Sr.; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. served in the United States 
9Army during the Korean War; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. worked as a coffee roaster at 
11Superior Tea and Coffee until his retirement; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. was a member of the Moose 
13Lodge in Harvard and the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. was preceded in death by his 
15parents and his sisters, Shirley and Jean; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. is survived by his children, 
17Michael (Christine) Stetkus, Sr., Arlene Wlodarek, and Kathy 
18Imboden; his grandchildren, Michael, Jr. and Melissa Stetkus, 
19Jessica and April Imboden, and Matthew Wlodarek; his

1stepdaughter, Debra Giles; and his siblings, Elaine (Vic) 
2Iwanski, Edward (Sonia) Stetkus, and Kenny Stetkus; therefore, 
3be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph W. Stetkus, 
7Jr.; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Joseph Stetkus, Jr. as an expression 
10of our sympathy.
