SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stanley Joseph Pankiewicz, who passed
4away on December 21, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz was born on November 3, 1929 in
6Chicago; his parents were Stanley Joseph and Clara (nee
7Stolman) Pankiewicz; he married Elaine Freund in 1964; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz attended Charles Schurz High
9School and joined the United States Navy at the age of 17; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz worked for Community Auto in
11McHenry for 25 years before retiring in 1994; in the early
12years, he owned his own gas station and had his pilot's
13license; and
 
14    WHEREAS, As a lifelong McHenry resident, Stanley
15Pankiewicz was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a
16former member of the McHenry Moose Lodge; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz enjoyed woodworking and making
18trinkets for his family and friends; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz is preceded in death by his

1parents, Stanley and Clara; his daughter, Susan Tecchio; and
2his sisters, Shirley Starzak and Lenore Cicero; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz is survived by his wife,
4Elaine; his children, Ron (Sue) Miller, Tom Miller, Cindy
5(Rich) Holtz, Dave (Penny) Miller, Tim Pankiewicz, Jeff
6Pankiewicz, Rick (Katie) Pankiewicz. Stan Pankiewicz, III, Lee
7(Kathy) Pankiewicz, and Sherry (Michael) Manning; his
8grandchildren, Jamie (Nathan) Daugherty, Steve (Shannon)
9Holtz, Jeff (Erin) Miller, Melissa (Kevin) Klean, Lindsey
10Miller, Ashley Miller, Trevor Pankiewicz, Kalei Pankiewicz,
11Emily Pankiewicz, Allison Pankiewicz, William Pankiewicz,
12Theresa (Ryan) Reiche, Michael (Mollie) Pankiewicz, Kayla
13Pankiewicz, Kaitlyn Pankiewicz, Derrick Manning, Brice
14Manning, Kane Manning, Sidney Manning, Randy Wrobel, and
15Patrick (Amy) Tecchio; and his 15 great-grandchildren;
16therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
19family and friends, mourn the passing of Stanley Joseph
20Pankiewicz; and be it further
 
21    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22presented to the family of Stanley Pankiewicz as an expression
23of our sympathy.
