SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Dale E. Downing of Woodstock, who passed 
4away on November 28, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dale Downing was born on February 13, 1938 in 
6Woodstock; his parents were Eugene and Irma (nee Austin) 
7Downing; he married Beverly Skinner on April 18, 1959; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Dale Downing served in the United States Army from 
91956 until 1958; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dale Downing was employed by Commonwealth Edison 
11for 37 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Dale Downing was a 57-year member of the Woodstock 
13Moose Lodge and the American Legion; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dale Downing enjoyed working with horses, 
15fishing, hunting, woodworking, and westerns; he was also a 
16licensed pilot; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Dale Downing was preceded in death by his parents; 
18his son, Bradley Downing; his granddaughter, Ashley Riggs; and 
19his brothers, Eugene Downing, Jr., Richard Downing, and Robert

1Downing; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Dale Downing is survived by his wife, Beverly 
3Downing; his daughters, Debra (Chuck) Perenchio and Denise 
4(Richard) Riggs; his grandchildren, Josh Widmayer, Katie 
5(Chris) Olson, Amy (Rudy) Torres, Brian (Ashley) Riggs, and 
6Stephanie Riggs; his sisters, Patsy (Leo) Nellessen and Nancy 
7Ryan; and his many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and 
8cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Dale E. Downing; and 
12be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the family of Dale Downing as an expression of our 
15sympathy.
