2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Angeline Scaccia, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | February 21, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Angeline Scaccia was born on December 21, 1917 in | ||||||
6 | Joliet and was a lifelong resident; her parents were Thomas and | ||||||
7 | Marion Chellino; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Angeline Scaccia and her husband, Fred, were | ||||||
9 | co-owners of the High Way Super Mart, Scaccia Wholesale | ||||||
10 | Distributors, and the Town and Country Banquet Hall; and | ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Angeline Scaccia and her husband were founding | ||||||
12 | members of St. Mary Magdalene Parish and members of the CCW; | ||||||
13 | and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Angeline Scaccia's passions in life were her | ||||||
15 | family, friends, and her love for dancing; she was known as the | ||||||
16 | "Queen of the Ballroom"; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Angeline Scaccia was preceded in death by her | ||||||
18 | husband, Fred R. Scaccia; her daughter, Gerri (Joe) Bertino; | ||||||
19 | her parents; her sisters, Therese Cemeno, Rose Mancuso, | ||||||
20 | Josephine Greco, Isabelle Bick, and Caroline Wisnewski; her |

1 | brother, Samuel Chellino; and her many nieces and nephews; and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Angeline Scaccia is survived by her daughters, | ||||||
3 | Charlene (George) Waldvogel and Marlene (Len) Sturdy; her | ||||||
4 | grandchildren, Joe (Donna) Bertino, Paul (Jennifer) Bertino, | ||||||
5 | Beth (Matt) Shanahan, Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, Michael | ||||||
6 | (Elena) Bertino, Daniel (Nicole) Bertino, Peter Bertino, Gina | ||||||
7 | (Joe) Weber, Terri (John) Stefanski, Gayle (Steve) Marchio, | ||||||
8 | Carrie (Kevin) Liebovich, Gregg (Kristy) Sturdy, and Angela | ||||||
9 | (Mike) Jaworski; her 30 great-grandchildren; her | ||||||
10 | great-great-grandchild; and her many nieces, nephews, and | ||||||
11 | cousins; therefore, be it

12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
14 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Angeline Scaccia; and | ||||||
15 | be it further

16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
17 | presented to the family of Angeline Scaccia as an expression of | ||||||
18 | our sympathy.
