SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Evelyn Pratt of Woodstock, who passed
4away on January 19, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Evelyn Pratt was born in Alden Township to Louis
6and Hazel (nee Vincent) Behrens on August 20, 1917; she
7graduated from Hebron High School in 1935 and married Oswald
8"Ozzie" Noble in 1938; she married Harold "Pete" Peterson in
91981; she married Walter Pratt in 1999; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Evelyn Pratt and her husband, Ozzie, owned and
11operated Ozzie's Pizza in Harvard for several years; she worked
12at Admiral for over 11 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Evelyn Pratt enjoyed bingo, playing cards,
14dancing, bowling, playing pool, and doing volunteer work; she
15was a member of the Women of the Moose, the Presbyterian
16Church, the Red Hat Society, and several card clubs; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Evelyn Pratt was preceded in death by her parents;
18her husbands; her daughter, Joyce Hill; her son, Leroy Noble;
19her son-in-law, Thomas Hill; an infant son; an infant grandson;
20her 3 brothers, Vincent, Melvin, and Dave; her sister, Viola
21Busch; her sisters-in-law, June, Francis, and Verna; her

1brother-in-law, Earl Busch; and many aunts, uncles, cousins,
2nieces, and nephews; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Evelyn Pratt is survived by her son, Thomas Noble;
4her 8 grandchildren, Tina, Kelly, Teresa, Angie, Colin,
5Shannon, Tim, and Tara; her 14 great-grandchildren; her 2
6step-great-grandchildren; and her 2 great-great-grandchildren;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Evelyn Pratt, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
11friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Evelyn Pratt as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
