SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Vivian Anna Reinboldt Smith of McHenry,
4who passed away on January 10, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vivian Anna Reinboldt Smith was born in Odeboldt,
6Iowa to John and Anna Lunkenheimer Reinboldt on March 9, 1922;
7she married Walter M. Smith at St. John the Baptist Church in
8Johnsburg on September 28, 1940; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Vivian Anna Reinboldt Smith was a member of St.
10John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg, where she was the first
11woman usher; she was a past member of Women of the Moose; she
12enjoyed reading, crafts, sewing, painting, cards, board games,
13gardening, golf, and bowling; she was an avid fan of the
14Chicago Cubs, Johnsburg Tigers, and Collier Classics; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Vivian Anna Reinboldt Smith was preceded in death
16by her husband, Walter; her brothers, Howard, Vernon, and
17Melvin Reinboldt; her sisters, Vera Huemann, Luella Huemann,
18and Lorraine Smith; her son-in-law, Philip Schmidt; her
19sister-in-law, Charlotte Reinboldt; and her brothers-in-law,
20Joseph Huemann, Fred Huemann, Norbert Smith, and Donald Miller;

1    WHEREAS, Vivian Anna Reinboldt Smith is survived by her
2children, Janet (Robert) Nelsen, Barbara Schmidt, and John
3(Janet) Smith; her grandchildren, Scott (Denise), Patrick
4(Lindsay), and Jonathan (Emily) Smith, Kevin (Sheila) Schmidt,
5and Kimberly Sweet; her great-grandchildren, Addison, Abigail,
6Natalie, Amelia, Cameron, and Kinley Smith and Mark, Melanie,
7and Brooklyn Sweet; her sister, JoAnn Miller; and her
8sister-in-law, Dorothy Reinboldt; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Vivian Anna Reinboldt Smith, and extend our sincere condolences
12to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Vivian Anna Reinboldt Smith as an
16expression of our deepest sympathy.
