SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard "Dick" Thinnes, Sr., who passed
4away on January 15, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Thinnes, Sr. was born in Chicago on
6January 4, 1934; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Richard Thinnes, Sr. owned and operated Thinnes
8Motor Services for 51 years; he owned Moe-B-Dicks North Shore
9Pub for 23 years; he was the proprietor of many other
10businesses throughout the years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Thinnes, Sr. was preceded in death by his
12parents, William and Elenor Thinnes; his brother, Jerry; and
13his son, Gregory; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Richard Thinnes, Sr. is survived by his wife of 22
15years, Maureen (nee Mueller); his children, Richard, Jr.
16(Bonnie) Thinnes and Tomi (Frank Pecoraro) Thinnes; his
17grandchildren, Michael (Lindsay Kvasnicka), Richard III
18(Amanda) Thinnes, and Dalton Schmidt; his great-grandchildren,
19Dylan, Kaylynn, Charlotte, Travis, Colton, and Allison; and his
20brother, Tom (Christine) Thinnes; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Richard "Dick" Thinnes, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences
4to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
5it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Richard Thinnes, Sr. as an
8expression of our deepest sympathy.
