SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Viletta M. "Vi" Kraft of Hebron, who
4passed away on January 27, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Viletta Kraft was born in Aurora to LaCoste and
6Cora (nee Peet) Landry on November 30, 1932; she attended
7Richmond schools and married Kenneth Kraft in Richmond on
8August 5, 1948; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Viletta Kraft worked at Holly's Restaurant in
10Richmond; she also worked at Heiman's Restaurant and Kraft's
11One-Stop Store in Hebron and at AutoLite; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Viletta Kraft was a member of the American Legion
13Auxiliary since 1948; she taught ceramic classes for many years
14at the Viken Ceramic Cellar in her home; she enjoyed growing
15orchids in her home greenhouse; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Viletta Kraft was preceded in death by her
17parents; her brother, Frank; and her sister-in-law, Mary
18Austin; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Viletta Kraft is survived by her husband, Kenneth;
20her son, Kenneth J. (Susanne) Kraft, Sr.; her 2 grandchildren,

1Kenneth J. (Ellen) Kraft, Jr. and Allison (Bob) Zelinske; her 4
2great-grandchildren, Kenneth J. Kraft III, Sophie Kraft,
3Joseph Kraft, and Madelyn Zelinske; her sister, Anita Landry;
4her brother-in-law, Ernest (Paula) Kraft, Jr.; her
5sister-in-law, Lauretta (Charles) Wolfe; and many nieces and
6nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Viletta M. "Vi" Kraft, and extend our sincere condolences to
10her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Viletta Kraft as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
