SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ross Joseph Teresi, Sr. of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on January 12, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ross Teresi, Sr. was born in Chicago to Frank and
6Rose (nee Fiore) Teresi on December 30, 1928; he graduated from
7Foreman High School in Chicago and served in the United States
8Army during the Korean War; he married Arlene Kazmarek in
9Chicago on June 11, 1955; and
 
10    WHEREAS, After his service, Ross Teresi, Sr. completed
11barber college and became a barber; he was part owner of the
12Cary Barber Shop from 1958 to 1992; he retired in 1992 and
13spent the winters in Naples, Florida; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ross Teresi, Sr. was a member of St. Thomas the
15Apostle Catholic Church; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ross Teresi, Sr. was preceded in death by his
17parents and his sister, Genevieve Bock; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Ross Teresi, Sr. is survived by his wife of 60
19years, Arlene Teresi; his sister, Mica Bingham; his brother,
20Frank (Artis) Teresi; his 5 children, Ross (Helen) Teresi,

1Steve (Wendy) Teresi, Greg (Denise) Teresi, Mark (Chris Morse)
2Teresi, and Sharon (Kirk) Sohm; his 15 grandchildren, Ross

4Nepomiachi, Tod Teresi, Chad (Jennifer) Teresi, Samuel Teresi,
5Brandon (Corey Cusak) Teresi, Megan Teresi, Melissa (Lamar
6Price) Teresi, Sarah (Rob) Smerling, Alexis Teresi, Erik Sohm,
7Nathan Sohm, Nicholas Sohm, and Anna Sohm; and his 17
8great-grandchildren, Chloe, JaKayla, Noah, Bentley, Kyree,
9Isabella, Vincent, Vivian, Chase, Luke, Makayla, Piper,
10Karlee, Trystin, Carson, Addison, and Jones; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Ross Joseph Teresi, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to
14his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Ross Teresi, Sr. as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
