SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Oren Keith Sass of East Moline, who 
4passed away on February 19, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Oren Sass was born on April 8, 1930 in North 
6Liberty, Iowa; his parents were Lawrence and Irma Giehiemer 
7Sass; he married Nora B. M. Henson on September 2, 1972 in 
8Moline; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Oren Sass was a veteran of the United States Navy, 
10having served during the Korean Conflict; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Oren Sass was first employed in Iowa City by a 
12Ford dealership as a mechanic for 28 years; he then went on to 
13work at Longmont United Hospital in Colorado for 14 years; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Oren Sass enjoyed traveling; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Oren Sass is survived by his wife, Nora; 
16therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
19family and friends, mourn the passing of Oren Keith Sass; and
