SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald Albert Brandt of Crystal Lake, who 
4passed away on January 18, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Brandt was born in Edgerton, Wisconsin  to 
6Albert C. and Elizabeth (nee Lemke) Brandt on August 20, 1939; 
7he graduated from Beloit College in 1954 and married Edith Auby 
8in Cottage Grove on June 16, 1956; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Brandt worked his entire career as an 
10underwriter in the insurance industry, most notably at Kemper 
11Insurance in Long Grove; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Donald Brandt retired in 1991 and spent the rest 
13of his days travelling, fishing in Canada, spending time with 
14his family, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Donald Brandt was preceded in death by his 
16brother-in-law, Rodney Johnson; and
  
 
  
17    WHEREAS, Donald Brandt is survived by his wife, Edith; his 
18children, Peter (Pamela) Brandt and Sara Brandt; his grandson, 
19Joshua (Stephanie) Schoeneberg; his great-grandson, Cael 
20Schoeneberg; and his sister, Norma Johnson; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Donald Albert Brandt, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Donald Brandt as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
