SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Elliott L. Seymour of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on February 23, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Elliott Seymour was born in Fairfax, Missouri to 
6John and Fern Seymour on July 4, 1922; he married Wanda Freeman 
7on November 21, 1942; he served in the military during World 
8War II in the South Pacific; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Elliott Seymour was a production welder at John 
10Deere Plow and Planter for over 37 years; he  also worked at 
11First of America Bank in maintenance for over 11 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Elliott Seymour enjoyed cars and pickups, both old 
13and new, and spending time in the garage; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Elliott Seymour was preceded in death by his wife, 
15Wanda; his parents; his son, James Seymour; his brother, Rufus 
16Seymour; and his sister, Leta; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Elliott Seymour is survived by his daughter, Joyce 
18(Richard) Koenig; his grandchildren, Rich (Sheri) Koenig III, 
19David (Katy) Koenig, Diantha (Bryan) Muck, and Audra Martin; 
20and his great-grandchildren, Kurt, Ashley, Aric, and Oliver;

1therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Elliott L. Seymour, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Elliott Seymour as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
