SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Norman S. Schaid, Sr. of Woodstock, who
4passed away on December 22, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. was born in McHenry to John and
6Katherine (Freund) Schaid on May 19, 1925; he married Vera
7Whipple in Richmond on November 20, 1943; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. was a lifetime farmer in the
9area; he belonged to the McHenry County Farm Bureau, P.M.A.,
10Wisconsin Dairies, and Genoa City CO-OP; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. was active in McHenry County
12tractor-pulling contests, winning many first place trophies;
13he also loved to hunt and play cards; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. was preceded in death by his
15parents; his wife, Vera; his grandson, Jeremy Schaid; his two
16brothers, Elmer and Loren Schaid; and his son-in-law, Earl
17Bauman; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Norman Schaid, Sr. is survived by his two
19daughters, Sharon Bauman and Jane (Richard) Harrington; his
20seven sons, Norman (Michael Leckwee) Schaid, Jr., Jerry

1(Paulette) Schaid, Larry (Trudy) Schaid, Gary Schaid, John
2(Vicky) Schaid, Donald (Brian Rabe) Schaid, and Roger Schaid;
3his seven grandchildren, Kim, Danielle, Nicole, Trevor, Jason,
4Amy, and Jessica; and his eight great-grandchildren;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Norman S. Schaid, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to
9his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Norman Schaid, Sr. as an expression
13of our deepest sympathy.
