SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Daniel P. Kelley of Skokie, who passed 
4away on February 23, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Daniel Kelley was born on September 19, 1918; he 
6was a decorated veteran, serving with the United States Army 
7during World War II; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Daniel Kelley retired as an insurance producer and 
9underwriter after many years of service; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Daniel Kelley was the first Mayor of the City of 
11Hometown; he also served as an Alderman of Country Club Hills; 
12and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, Daniel Kelley was the beloved husband of Mary Anna 
14(Kubicek) and the late Eleanor (Wittl); the dear father of 
15Kathleen (Michael) Gradl and Kenneth (Susan), David (Nelda), 
16Paul, Brian (Patricia), and Brice (Becky) Kelley; the loving 
17grandfather of 24; the cherished great-grandfather of 42; the 
18dear great-great-grandfather of 2; and the fond brother of the 
19late Richard P. Kelley; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Daniel P. Kelley; and 
3be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Daniel Kelley as an expression of 
6our sympathy.
