SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Roger W. Randolph of Minooka, who passed
4away on March 10, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Roger Randolph was born in Joliet to Adolph and
6Marguerite (Nichols) Randolph; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Roger Randolph retired from the City of Joliet
8Fire Department at the rank of Lieutenant after 31 years of
9service; he was named Firefighter of the Year in 1988; he spent
1011 years at the Chrysler Corporation and nine years as a driver
11for Kurtz Memorial Chapel and Anderson Memorial Chapel; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Roger Randolph enjoyed playing basketball and
13antique cars; he was a member of Associated Fire Fighters of
14Illinois Local 2369, Illinois Retired Firefighters, and the
15Joliet Antique Auto Club; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Roger Randolph was preceded in death by his
17parents; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Roger Randolph was the husband of Gerolene
19(Hearron); the father of Kim (Skip) Eller, Roger P. (Kim)
20Randolph, and Lori (Brian) McNamee; the grandfather of many;

1and the stepfather of Stephen (Tracie) Olvera and Kelly (Bryan)
2Super Talkie; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Roger W. Randolph, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Roger Randolph as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
